HOLY FLAME

**ORIGINAL NOT FOR SALE**
There on the hill he saw it a cold grim reminder. The cross had been frozen in motionless fact, dark and abandoned now dead. Three days ago the event he witnessed so disturbing still bewildered his head and pained his heart. The violence, the yelling and wailing... the malice of the crowd... the pleading of the few. It was said he was an innocent man. It was also said by the priests he was a heretic. It was so hard to tell what was going on, but the fact such conflict and confusion reigned and the way people behaved was utterly horrifying. He rode on in the shadow of it with sorrow, confusion, and restlessness.
His final glance to mourn all of this an tend to his work, the sun now rising, beheld a an impossible sight that then froze him in his tracks. The cross now consumed in brilliant blinding light. Far brighter than the rising sun in tremendous flames that held no sound or sent no heat now alive! The voice in his head louder than his unused frozen tongue. "What is this vision before me?! Something has happened! ...What just happened?!"
Inspiration: The resurrection of Christ from the perspective of an uniformed man.
