When the storm violently dismantles everything worked so hard to create. When the very creations we try to bring into this world turn to horror as its taken from our control and sinks our heart... There is a place where: what we toiled to create releases from our hand to finish itself even without us! We are not the storm. We may not even be the true creator. But there is some strange fulfilling honor that the creator often appoints us... "The Storm bringer"
Inspiration: This was an attempt to create a personal painting of the cross and faith. I had only random supplies and no knowledge of the artform prior, so I did not know what would happen. As it began I felt thrilled at what I had done. Exploring and discovering what I could do, It was perfect! I was pleased I had created with intention and accuracy.
But then it happened! One of my paints reacted unpredictably. In fear and anxiety I watched it disintegrate gradually before my eyes. I eventually could not watch and went to bed. The next day, you could imagine, I was not eager to look.
But when I did, I froze in amazement. In place of the cross, was a subtle gesture illusionary image of christ. Enjoy this piece and should you discover it too, It is my silent mutual head nod to you. (Don't lose faith... we are not alone.)
*Special Note: the human eye sees in 27 values of light and dark. Photography only captures 9... (if you don't see it, it does not mean its not there or your not adequate.)
